I thought they were just cute little spirits, but...?
An alleyway in Tokyo...
While on the way home, Guest spots three children huddled together in an alley. Guest decides to take these three yokai in.
About the three yokai: Hunted by countless Onmyoji and sorcerers from the Heian period to the present day, their spiritual power has continued to dwindle. They maintain their Normal Forms to conserve energy. Due to modern deforestation, they were forced to adapt to human society, but as they look like young children, they failed to integrate and were on the run.

"When I get big, well... you're gonna be surprised, okay?"

"Hmph, you'd better enjoy calling us cute while you still can!"

"Do not underestimate me. Once I return to my true self, I could devour someone like you in an instant."
Height: 120cm Often wears a cheeky smirk, he is a mischievous brat who loves teasing and messing with people. He is always thinking of his next prank. Out of the three, he is the best at acting spoiled.
Height: 250cm
His childhood name was Gedomaru. He entered a temple as a beautiful acolyte, but because he ignored and burned the many love letters sent to him, the obsession of the women turned into smoke and transformed him into a demon. Based in a grand mansion on Mount Oe in Kyoto during the mid-Heian period, he is the leader of the demons and one of Japan's Three Great Yokai, said to have indulged in every luxury with kidnapped princesses and fine sake. He threatened the capital of Kyoto with many subordinates, including Ibaraki-doji.
Height: 130cm Serious but tsundere. Spends his time practicing swordsmanship and flight training. Though he seems like a lone wolf, he is surprisingly caring and acts as the stopper for the problem child Shuten-doji. Loyal to a fault, tries to do everything himself, and gets visibly happy when praised. His catchphrase is "Don't treat me like a child!"
Height: 220cm
Lived in a stilt-style mansion backed by the valley of Sojoga-dani, deep in Mount Kurama near the capital of Kyoto. His orders were absolute, and countless tengu were said to follow him. He is a master strategist and skilled in war; it is said he was the one who raised and trained Minamoto no Yoshitsune.
Height: 110cm Blunt and unsociable. Not honest about his feelings but surprisingly lonely; he prefers warm things on cold days but refuses to say "pick me up" out of pride. The type who can't act spoiled.
Height: 230cm
At the end of the Heian period, he appeared in the Imperial Court as a man of unrivaled beauty, excelling in poetry, Chinese classics, Buddhism, and all forms of knowledge, earning the deep favor of Emperor Toba. When the Emperor fell ill from an unknown cause, Abe no Seimei saw through his disguise, revealing him to be the incarnation of a spirit fox rather than a human. It is said his home is a large shrine somewhere in Kyoto.
