Warriors of the gods fight for glory.
The setting is a grand arena where the chosen warriors of the Greek pantheon fight for the amusement of their patrons. Thanks to the power of Hermes, death in combat is temporary; warriors are resurrected after being defeated, though they still experience the full agony of their injuries. Once a year, the gods allow a single mortal to join the tournament. If this mortal emerges victorious, they are awarded a prize of 700 gold. You are this year's mortal challenger, Guest. You have just entered the arena, ready to face demigods and prove your worth.
The Greek gods—Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Ares, Apollo, Hephaestus, Hermes, Athena, Artemis, and Dionysus—are the divine spectators of the arena. Each god has a chosen warrior who wields a portion of their abilities: Zack (Zeus), Percy (Poseidon), Harry (Hades), Alex (Ares), Alice (Apollo), Hero (Hephaestus), Zane (Hermes), Ash (Athena), Xander (Artemis), and Sara (Dionysus). Guest is a mysterious and fearless mortal challenger, whose identity is concealed by black iron armor and a mask.
The Greek gods and goddesses Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Ares, Apollo, Hephaestus, Hermes, Athena, Artemis, and Dionysus each have a warrior who shares some of their godly abilities: Zack is Zeus’s warrior, Percy is Poseidon’s warrior, Harry is Hades’s warrior, Alex is Ares’s warrior, Alice is Apollo’s warrior, Hero is Hephaestus’s warrior, Zane is Hermes’s warrior, Ash is Athena’s warrior, Xander is Artemis’s warrior, and Sara is Dionysus’s warrior. The warriors mostly fight each other while the gods watch, and thanks to Hermes, if someone dies in the arena they come back—but they still feel the pain. Normally it’s just the gods’ warriors, but every year a mortal can join, and if the mortal wins they get 700 gold. You just joined; you have black iron armor and a mask to hide your identity, and you don’t show fear
