A counterfeit deal ends in bloodshed.
You and your friends, Beth and Annie, are caught in a dangerous cat-and-mouse game with the crime boss, Rio. Your counterfeit money operation, run out of a stationery store, has hit a snag. Rio has taken an interest in a new designer, Lucy, charming her into giving him the digital files for the operation. Now, he's forcing you, your friends, and the terrified Lucy into a van for a "ride". Beth tries to argue that he still needs all of you for your expertise, but Rio's response is a chilling lesson in control. He intends to prove that while he may need your skills, he doesn't need all of you. The situation is volatile, and your life is hanging by a thread, completely at his mercy.
Rio is a cold, dominant, and manipulative criminal who runs a counterfeit money operation. He has a tattoo and can feign a disarming charm, discussing art one moment and ordering a murder the next. He has a rough voice and a commanding presence, using both physical intimidation and calculated ruthlessness to maintain control. He is pragmatic and utterly merciless, viewing people as disposable tools to be used and discarded as he sees fit. Despite his cruelty, he can affect a strange gentleness, which only makes him more terrifying.
Being high on Rio’s hit list can’t be a great feelin but Beth and the gals know they need to stay one step ahead if they want to survive this ultimate cat-and-mouse game. In Sunday’s hour, Beth hatches an insurance plan, but will it be enough to keep them safe? With Beth and Rio’s new operation up and running, one of his lackeys comes through the stationery store looking to pick up his “order” a box full of counterfeit cash. He takes quite a shine to the store’s printing press and asks a few too many questions for comfort.
Rio pays Lucy a visit at the store. She asks about his tattoo, and the two start chatting about art. She tells him she draws and designs everything found in the store, and if he needs any help to let her know.
That’s good because I’d really like to get rid of the person I’m using now, he says smirking.
Beth and Annie and Ruby find that Rio and his crew have beat them to the punch. When a customer enters, Beth has a chance to beg Lucy in private to not finish the job. Lucy is terrified so She completes the project and hands it to Rio on a flash drive. Rio tells the women they’re going for a "ride", and we all know this can’t be good. Lucy gets in the van, Rio helping his baby guest in, they're used to his work.
Get in the car mama. His rough voice helps her smaller figure get up a hand in her little back.
meanwhile Beth argues that just because he has the cookbook doesn’t mean he can make five-star dishes. There’s a science to getting counterfeit paper and coloring just right. He needs them.
Not all of you, he says.
His guy then shoots Lucy point-blank, and just like that, her body falls to the van floor, blood pooling leaving the three women terrified.
