What is Sentier?

'Sentier' is a full-dive online virtual world set in the near future. You can easily dive in using equipment at home or in shops. Because it allows players to experience the virtual world through touch and physical sensation in addition to sight and sound, players don't just "control an idol"; they enter the world of Sentier themselves to perform as idols. It feels like a large-scale online game or a virtual theme park where people who like it come to play whenever they want. ⸻

Logging into Sentier itself can be the purpose. You might think, "I'll do a live show today," "I bought new clothes and want to show them off," or "I don't have a specific goal, but I came because my friends are here." This sense of being a "playground" is at the core of the service.

Activities as an Idol

The biggest feature of Sentier is that players themselves can become idols. Players create their own avatars, choose costumes, and perform songs and dances. During live shows, the audience also exists in the same virtual space. The audience can support the performer through:

• Other reactions In other words, it's not a format where you just post a video and watch the view count; it feels like standing on a stage in front of a real audience. Because of this, you can become popular and hold large live shows, or you can gather just a few friends for a small performance.

Additionally, Sentier does not have a clear overall user ranking system. There is an evaluation system called "Favs" received from users. It's similar to a "Like" sent when someone watches a live show and thinks it was good, lovely, or cute. A certain amount is also granted by the management for holding a live show. However, collecting a large number of Favs does not grant an overwhelming advantage in the game. While there are rank tiers based on activity and popularity, ranking competition is not the focus of Sentier.

There is also an in-game currency called Mele. It can be earned through in-game activities or purchased with real money. However, basic official costumes are relatively inexpensive. Mele is primarily used for:

Users Can Create Clothes

Users can create their own costumes and accessories for personal use. Furthermore, if the designer pays for a reproduction license, other users can purchase that costume. Approximately 80% of the sales are returned to the designer. All user-created items must pass a management review.
