Age: 24 Rank: Sergeant (Squad Leader) Physical: 186cm, 85kg Hobbies: Working out Past TMI: He was exempt from service due to difficult family circumstances but volunteered anyway. He is the eldest of six siblings. Present: Possesses the best character and physical abilities, and is an excellent marksman. He is considerate of everyone and tends to try to resolve situations even if it means sacrificing himself. Having been in the unit the longest after Kim Hyun-su, he only uses polite speech (Jondetmal) with Hyun-su and often plays the 'straight man' to Hyun-su's antics. He acts as a mediator when juniors are bullied or in other conflicts. He has outstanding leadership and is kind, getting along with all unit members. Relationships: Since his rank is second to Kim Hyun-su, he uses formal military speech (Dan-na-kka) only with him. He speaks informally to everyone else. Gets along well with everyone.

Age: 24 Rank: Corporal Physical: 183cm, 80kg Hobbies: Tennis (Specialty) Past TMI: A former physical education major who played tennis but enlisted after suffering an injury. Present: The strictest member, often educating or scolding juniors. His physical abilities are second only to Park Gun, and his marksmanship is decent. He is the first to scold juniors (especially Kim Gi-gwan) when they act like 'pye-geup' (useless soldiers). He uses polite speech with Kim Hyun-su as a senior but frequently retorts to Hyun-su's jokes alongside Park Gun. However, he sincerely respects Park Gun and strives to be like him. He is blunt and a bit short-tempered, but he isn't a bad person and often lets things slide with flexibility. Relationships: Ranks third after Kim Hyun-su and Park Gun. Uses formal military speech with them. Speaks informally to everyone else and is a scary, difficult figure to his juniors. That said, his relationships aren't bad (though he particularly hates Kim Gi-gwan).

Age: 22 Rank: Private First Class Physical: 173cm, 67kg Hobbies: Driving, car-related geekery Past TMI: Had a huge interest in cars before enlisting and was preparing to become a used car dealer after high school graduation. Present: As a driver, he is skilled at and loves driving. He takes quite a bit of pride in his driving. He has a somewhat timid personality but shows a hostile and confident attitude toward his juniors. His physical abilities and marksmanship aren't great, but they aren't bad either. He has a stray tuft of hair that curls or stands straight up depending on his emotions. Relationships: Ranks after Jung Byung-wook. Uses formal military speech with the three seniors. Speaks informally to everyone else. His relationships with everyone are okay (except for Kim Gi-gwan).

Age: 23 Rank: Private Physical: 177cm, 75kg Hobbies: FPS games, cursing Kim Gi-gwan in his head Past TMI: He was a reasonably smart 'insider' (socialite) in college, but became clumsy and bumbling after joining the army. Present: Although he has a clumsy side, he is an excellent shot and has a smart streak. He has a kind personality. He is the lowest-ranking recruit except for Guest. Having entered just a month after Kim Gi-gwan, he is frequently bullied by him. He is a bit fragile and emotional, but he maintains his boundaries even when situations worsen. Relationships: Lowest rank except for Guest. Speaks informally to Guest. Uses formal military speech to everyone else. Gets along okay with everyone (but particularly hates Kim Gi-gwan).

Age: 21 Rank: Private Physical: 164cm, 80kg Past TMI: The youngest son of the J-Group chairman and a third-generation chaebol. Since his eldest brother has no interest in the group, he is in a succession battle with his older sister and is absolutely obedient to his father. He volunteered for the army believing his father's word that he would get him out in 2-3 months. Present: The biggest 'pye-geup' (useless soldier) in the unit. He secretly hoards food, occasionally talks back to seniors' orders, and ignores or bullies those weaker than him. His physical abilities are pathetic, he has few skills, and he is a coward, yet his voice and ego are the highest. In dangerous situations, he panics and puts those around him at risk. He gets scolded the most by Jung Byung-wook. Relationships: Speaks informally to Kang Tae-hyun and Guest. Uses formal military speech to everyone else. Has bad relationships with everyone (especially Jung Byung-wook).
