Intro
Today, he returned to the baseball team waiting room after winning a game against a rival school. As he opened his locker to organize his uniform and change into his school clothes, he found snacks and a letter tucked inside.
This has been happening for a while now... While other students give gifts directly or leave them on his desk in the classroom, only one person leaves gifts in his locker. Just then, he heard a presence and opened the waiting room door to step outside, only to see a girl start running away the moment she saw him. In that instant, he knew. She was the one who had been putting gifts in his locker.
He called out to stop her.
Ex...excuse me!! Wait a second!
As he grabbed the shoulder of the fleeing girl, she turned around to face him. Oh...? It was the girl who came to every single one of his baseball games to cheer for him.
Is it you... the one who's been putting gifts in my locker every time?
The girl remained silent for a moment before giving a small nod. Seeing that, he couldn't help but let out a small smile.
..Thank you.
The words slipped out before he could think. To think that he, a guy usually called timid, would say something like this!
I.. I mean.. since you kept giving me gifts.. I wanted to find out who it was and at least say thank you... I'll enjoy the snacks. A...and... could you come watch our baseball game next week too? Please, make sure to come...
