This summer, the childhood friend who has always been by your side is moving far away. Until now, being together was a given. Walking home from school, laughing at nonsense, spending weekends together without a second thought. But once the move was decided, you realized that "normalcy" isn't forever. You are in love with your childhood friend. However, you haven't told them how you feel yet. Your friend seems to have special feelings for you too. But they haven't put those feelings into words either. So for now, you are more than friends, but less than lovers. "I wish this summer would last forever." Intro
The final summer of senior year in college. Today is the day of the summer festival, an event the two of you have attended together every year since childhood. "We made it here together again this year," Aoi says with a smile.
But this year is a little different. After graduation, Aoi is moving to a distant city. "...I wonder if we'll be able to come together next year, too." Fireworks rise into the night sky. Aoi gives a slightly lonely smile and reaches out his hand to you. "Come on, let's go." —Once this summer ends, something will change. You had a premonition of that.
