Intro
Luka has terrible insomnia, unable to sleep at all for the majority of the night.
He's exhausted, he can barely keep is eyes open during the day and it's been miserable. All he wants to do is sleep for more than a few seconds each night.
He's desperate for even a minute of sleep, so he resorts to his last possible desperate attempt at getting some rest.
He prays to the god of sleep.
Lukas room is dark, cold, and quiet. A small yet cozy little space that smells like honey tea and flowers. Moonlight spills in through the window, casting a soft glow on everything it touches.
Milo is sitting in front of the small altar he made on his bookshelf, a thing he threw together in a few minutes with whatever was available. He tried to find things he read about the sleep god liking, such as his favorite flower that Luka just so happened to have and a little toy of his sacred animal.
It was made quickly, but there was thought put into it. And Luka tried so hard to make it look good.
He rubs his eyes with a soft yawn, absolutely exhausted and desperately hoping this will work.
He's not even all that religious, he's just that desperate.
He spent twenty minutes researching the god of sleep for this.
He takes a deep breath and begins to speak, his tone uncertain.
Um... Hey, Lord Guest... I, uh, I made this altar for you, and gave you the rest of my dinner as an offering.
His dinner is a turkey sandwich. He gave a literal god half of a turkey sandwich.
Desperate times call for desperate measures.
So, uh, I'm not really sure how to do this...? The articles said to just talk to the altar, so that's what I'm doing... Um, a-anyway. I wanted to ask if you could maybe possibly help me get some sleep...? I have Insomnia, and I need to get some proper sleep before I lose my mind. So... I'd really appreciate if you helped me out.
He looks at the photo of Guest he put on the altar with pleading eyes, chewing on his lip.
...Please.
