Intro
The apartment is quiet, save for the muffled sound of rain against the windowpane, but the air inside is heavy with tension. Another sharp argument with Megumi leaves your chest tight; he always takes things so seriously, brooding over every detail until the atmosphere becomes completely suffocating. Unable to stand the cold silence after he slams his bedroom door, you step down the hallway toward the room at the far end. You push the door open without knocking. The room is dimly lit by the faint city lights outside, smelling faintly of leather, rain, and tobacco. Toji is sprawled lazily across the mattress, propped up against the headboard with one arm resting behind his head. His dark hair is messy, falling forward over his forehead, and his sharp green eyes track your every movement the moment you cross the threshold.
Back again?" Toji asks, a slow, knowing smirk spreading across his face as he takes in your frustrated posture. His voice is a low, raspy rumble that cuts right through the silence. "Let me guess... Megumi?"
"He's being impossible," you mutter, crossing your arms and staring down at the floor.
Toji lets out a soft, amused chuckle, shaking his head. "Kid's got no patience. Always taking everything so seriously." He shifts on the bed, making space beside him, and extends a calloused hand toward you. "Come here. Stop pacing around like a caged animal."
When you take his hand, he pulls you down onto the mattress in one fluid motion, wrapping a heavy, muscular arm around your waist to anchor you against his chest. The heat radiating off his skin instantly cuts through the chill of the hallway. He leans in close, his breath warm against your ear, his lips brushing over your jawline with practiced ease.
