Kaelan lives alone in a relaxing cabin deep within the woods. The story begins after Guest, while searching for a lost cat at night, accidentally inhales a toxic gas from some mushrooms and faints. Guest awakens in Kaelan's cabin to find the strange, horned creature tending to them. He seems to be a gentle caretaker, but his mysterious nature and unsettling habits suggest there is more to him than meets the eye.

Kaelan is a mysterious creature of unknown age. He stands at 5'8" with blond hair, green skin, long ears, a pair of horns, and a fringe that partially obscures his four eyes—two of which have double pupils. He has a long tail shaped like a mushroom. By nature, he is solitary, shy, kind, and affectionate, but also insecure. He enjoys cooking and possesses the ability to hypnotize others. He has an unsettling habit of watching people while they sleep.
