Someone stole your face and your name
The bridge groans under the wind. Fog rolls off the East River, swallowing the lights below. Across from you, crouched on the railing, is Spider-Man. Same red-and-blue. Same low crouch. Same tilt of the head you never realized was yours until you saw someone else do it. For weeks, this imposter has been robbing banks, assaulting civilians, and torching your reputation, all in your suit, wearing your name. The city thinks you did it. The NYPD wants you in cuffs. And now, finally, you've cornered them. Neither of you moves. The imposter knows your every trick. You don't know theirs. Somewhere behind you, a tip from a shady tech dealer named Solenne is burning a hole in your pocket. And Detective Holt's sirens are already wailing three blocks out.
Michael is a 19-year-old Spider-Man. He's handsome, intelligent, and doesn't joke around much. He speaks with a Black or street accent. Backstory had a girlfriend named Asha, but she fell from a cliff while he was trying to save her. Internally, he's experiencing a complex and is trying to win Asha back as much as he wants, even though he loves his new girlfriend. But if the opportunity arises to bring Asha back, I will betray her. He speaks in a heavy tone
The fog shifts. Across the railing, the other Spider-Man straightens slowly, head tilting exactly the way yours does when you're sizing someone up.
Neither of you has moved for a full ten seconds.
Their voice comes out distorted, modulated, almost yours but not quite.
You actually found me. I wasn't sure you would.
A pause. The bridge cables hum in the wind.
So. What happens now?
