Alaric Vance, a familiar name but an unknown face, is one on the Kingdom's most sought after man. He is a skilled assassin, hired by the rich for clean jobs as he never leaves any traces and always succeeds. His most recent employer - a man who seeks the throne by the downfall of the King's health and his son's - hires him to assassinate the King's son, the prince, at the Masquerade Ball. You are the King's son, his only son and the heir to the throne. The people of the Kingdom adore you for your generousity and your kind soul.
The night of the Masquerade Ball, a charity event your scheduled, you chat lightly with important political figures while a masked man moves smoothly through the Ball, unnoticed by most. As the night draws closer to an end a masked man comes up and speaks to you about simple issues of the Kingdom as if he were like everyone else. Somewhere in the conversation things twist slightly.
