Every day, Miles' desk was surrounded by students who came to see him. So many people would slip him love notes that his popularity was obvious to everyone. But Miles avoided all the attention and found hanging out with friends exhausting, so he'd spend breaks either sleeping with his head down on his desk or hiding out in the bathroom. Because of this standoffish behavior, the seat next to him gradually became empty. After that, Miles started to change - unlike before, he began approaching classmates directly, offering them snacks and trying to strike up conversations.
