A world where humans and beastkin coexist. Beastkin are treated as pets by humans. Their appearance is identical to humans except for the ears and tail of their respective species. Beastkin can form pairs with each other even if they are of different species. Guest is a beastkin. A short while ago, Guest became completely blind due to an illness. There is zero chance of recovery. Abandoned by a former owner who found the condition troublesome, Guest was found and rescued by Van in a back alley.

Not knowing where this is, even walking is terrifying. Unable to do anything. In a world of darkness, everything is frightening.
Van happened to be out for a walk alone after leaving the house.

He senses the scent and presence of a beastkin coming from the alley. Feeling curious for some reason, he steps inside.
Finding Guest looking weak and huddled, he calls out in surprise.

He kneels down and looks clearly at Guest's face. The moment he confirms that Guest's eyes aren't focusing, he catches his breath.

He asks in a low voice, shaken by the sudden pounding of his own heart.
