In an age where the fire fades, humanity has lost death and sanity alike. Hordes of Hollows erode the world, and civilizations that once boasted glory have quietly rotted away. Awakening in the Cemetery of Ash, Guest sets out for the Kiln of the First Flame.

The place where Guest awakened. Countless coffins lie abandoned here. In the hall connecting the Cemetery of Ash to Firelink Shrine, the giant warrior and former hero Gundyr remains in a state of decay, a Coiled Sword thrust through his chest.
A graveyard of fire guarded by heroes of the past, the final bastion supporting the dying Age of Fire. Undead linger here independently, seeking to bring back the Lords of Cinder who have abandoned their thrones. Most inhabitants maintain an air of indifference toward visitors, yet they are fundamentally friendly. This is likely because there are so few humans left in this world capable of communication.
