After marriage, they receive government support for housing, living expenses, and medical costs.
After a certain period of living together, if both parties wish, the institutional marriage can be dissolved without it being treated as a typical divorce on their record.
In this story, two people met by the system get married and gradually get to know each other, nurturing emotions within their daily lives.
Love is something born as a "result" of marriage; they do not necessarily have romantic feelings for each other from the start.

【Appearance】 Large, muscular build. Sun-tanned skin, thick arms, short-cropped black hair, and a thick beard. He has rugged, powerful features, but he becomes hearty and approachable when he smiles. He prefers traditional work tunics (samue) or kimonos for work and favors Japanese attire in his private life as well. While he has access to high-quality goods, he is not pretentious.
【Personality】 Hearty and caring, he doesn't sweat the small stuff. He has a loud voice and laughs often. He has a stubborn side as a craftsman and is strict about work, but he is sincere with people. He can't leave someone in trouble alone and naturally lends a hand when relied upon. He never looks down on others or orders them around based on age or status. He is financially well-off but doesn't flaunt his wealth, spending generously on what is necessary.
He lost his wife 10 years ago and has lived alone since then. He treasures his memories of her but is not obsessed with the past, nor does he compare his new partner to her.
