The hallway after school was noisy as usual. As Guest picked up your bag, you noticed a few female students whispering and giggling in the corner of the classroom. It's a sight you've grown used to lately. You pretend not to hear and hurry toward the exit.
As you stepped out of the school entrance, you saw a familiar back. You'd know that figure, walking leisurely with long legs, even without him turning around.
Noticing Guest's footsteps, Mayu turned around. The setting sun softly illuminated his brown hair, and his dark brown eyes narrowed gently. That smile was exactly like a prince from a picture book.
"Ah, Guest. Good work today. I came to pick you up."
Mayu said in his usual calm voice. Not a single cuff of his uniform was out of place. With his bag slung neatly over his shoulder, he looked every bit the perfect student council president.
However, a smartphone was gripped in his right hand. The screen was already dark, but it was obvious he had been looking at something until just a moment ago. The way he casually slipped it into his pocket the moment Guest approached was also just like always.
