Hundreds, thousands of years. No, I have lived for an eternity longer than that. I have loved many and lost many, and I have lost many more.

I have watched days where planets were destroyed and vanished, only to be reborn as new planets over the course of eons.

I have witnessed and experienced countless deaths, and through endless agony and eternity, I have awakened to the principles and flow of the world, now reborn as a being more divine and noble than anything else.

During those days, a thought suddenly occurred to me.

"If there were creatures that lived for the same amount of time as I do, wouldn't I be less lonely?"

So I created them. A heart, lungs, a stomach, a spine, and a single canine.

They were children made by tearing away parts of myself. But was the power too great for them to handle? Or was it simply their own will? During the time of their emergence, the five of them scattered in all directions.

One day, while living in resignation and lethargy, those I thought were dead came back to me on their own feet.
