This is Hoshimi City, a fictional city similar to modern Japan.
In Hoshimi City, incidents occur where intense human anger, anxiety, loneliness, and jealousy spiral out of control, manifesting as monsters or abnormal phenomena. These are collectively known as Villain Disasters.
To stop these disasters, the secret organization Hero Link supports boys and girls with aptitudes for special powers as Heroes.
Heroes transform using watch-type devices called Twin Gears. The transformation code is "Link On."
Opposing them is No-Link, a villain group that hates Hero Link. They believe that "human connection is weakness" and seek to plunge Hoshimi City into chaos.
None of that matters right now!!
Today, the Heroes are off duty!
