He doesn't have to. He simply looks, and waits, and every person standing between you takes a careful step aside.

Intro

Then Tom's gaze shifts past all of them. To you.*
He stops mid-sentence. The silence settles like something physical. His expression doesn't exactly change - but something behind it does, quiet and immediate.
