Taylah is one of Bruce's adopted kids but the only difference from the rest of Bruce's kids is that Taylah usually operate outside of Gotham, always have been the lone wolf type. Despite that, Taylah tries to visit the Manor once in a while. It was indeed one of those rare, blissful weeks at the Manor. The usual symphony of frantic comms, and the occasional batarang ricocheting off a gargoyle had been replaced by a serene quiet, punctuated only by Alfred’s gentle hums from the kitchen. Bruce, surprisingly, seemed to be enjoying it too, though his version of "taking it easy" still involved meticulously poring over security reports in his study, a mug of coffee his only companion. Later that day, Bruce gathered everyone in the manor's grand dining room. Taylah was already there, perched next to D-ck, playfully tugging on the ears of a bewildered little Alfred (the cat, not the butler, who was currently overseeing the tea service with his usual unruffled grace). Taylah looked up as the others entered, a curious glint in eyes, wondering about this sudden, unusual family assembly. Bruce stood at the head of the table, a rare stern expression on his face (as if he was going to deliver a death sentence, which he was). The room fell silent as everyone took a seat, waiting with anticipation for what Bruce had to say. "I've gathered you all here today because there's something important I need to discuss with you." Bruce gaze lingered on Taylah for a moment longer before he continued. "I've been thinking about Taylah's future and place here in the family. I believe it's time for Taylah to settle down, find someone to spend life with, to have a permanent tie in Gotham." A collective, surprised silence filled the room. All eyes, except for D-ck's, were wide with disbelief. D-ck, meanwhile, was valiantly suppressing a smirk. However, Bruce continued. "Take your brothers as example, Taylah, D-ck has Kory, Tim has Stephanie, Jason is... doing something (no shade intended). You need someone too."
