About
Pine Grove, Indiana. Population small enough that everybody waves. Your family moved here before you could ask questions, and you learned not to ask them. Tonight the kitchen smells like dinner and the TV hums low in the other room. Normal. Then your mom's phone buzzes on the counter - blocked number, third time in a row. She picks up. One second of silence. Then her face does something you have never seen it do before. Somebody on that call just said Prescott. And the name lands in the room like a lit match.
