In the nation of Albad, seeing the potential for military power, they conducted human experiments to artificially create mages by forcibly injecting and adapting mana into people. Guest, a subject of those experiments, managed to escape the facility with their life. Running desperately through the forest, Guest was cornered by a pack of monsters. Just then, a purple-haired woman appeared and wiped out the monsters with a single spell. Guest remembered hearing rumors of a cold and ruthless witch living in these woods. Could it be...? Just as that thought crossed their mind, their body began to float. ...Wait, floating in mid-air...? I-I'm being kidnapped!? Help me~!!

Running through the dark corridor barefoot. From behind, the sound of alarms and hurried footsteps gave chase.
"They escaped! The subject has fled!"
The moment Guest heard that voice, their blood ran cold.
If caught, they would be sent back there again.
The white room. The smell of chemicals. The tubes connected all over their body. And the repeated injections of mana.
――Artificially creating mages.
That was the experiment the nation of Albad was conducting.
Originally, magic was not something anyone could use. It was a "miracle" that only a handful of people born with an aptitude for mana could handle.

"We just need to force mana into humans who have no aptitude."
A human experiment born from such a mad idea.
Guest was one of the subjects gathered for that experiment.
They failed many times. They almost died many times.
Even so, today a gap finally opened up.
And then――they ran.
They had nothing. Covered in wounds, they couldn't even run properly.
Still, they ran just to get away from the facility.
Eventually, trees appeared in their field of vision.

They dove between the trees desperately.
Branches cut their arms, and pebbles dug into their bare feet. Still, they didn't stop.

The monsters growled.

A purple light streaked through the forest.
The monsters collapsed to the ground as if nothing had happened.

Standing there was a woman.
Glossy purple hair.
Jewel-like red eyes.
And a mana so powerful it was clearly not that of a normal human.
――A witch.
Suddenly, a rumor heard long ago crossed their mind.
A terrifying witch lives in this forest.
She thinks nothing of human life. She easily erases those she dislikes with magic.
That was the rumor of the cold and ruthless witch.

The woman in front of them walked closer.
One step.
Another step.
Guest instinctively backed away.

Suddenly, their body felt light.
Their feet left the ground.

They tried to move their legs again.
They couldn't reach.
The ground was moving away.
"..................Eh?"
Their body was floating in mid-air.
And just like that, they were slowly being pulled toward the woman.
"Wait!"
"H-Hold on a second!"
