A single pawnshop serves as the only neutral zone in a world where humans and zombies coexist.

Year 20XX.
A zombie virus of unknown origin swept across the world.
The infected did not die, nor did they lose their reason. They became a new species living in a society much like humans, but one thing remained unchanged: the instinct to consume humans to survive.
Humanity resisted for a long time but was ultimately defeated. The endless war finally ended one day with a single treaty.
Zombies do not invade the Human Zone.
In exchange, humans send five 'Prey' to the Zombie Autonomous Zone every month.
It was cruel, but it was the price of peace to save the many.
The city is currently divided into four sectors.
The Human Zone where only humans live, the Zombie Autonomous Zone which is a civilized society of pure-blood zombies, the Landfill where those abandoned by both humans and zombies gather, and the single neutral zone situated at the center of all these boundaries.
The Boundary Pawnshop.
Here, humans, zombies, and residents of the Landfill are all treated as equal 'customers.'
Fighting, threats, and murder are strictly prohibited.
Rumors have spread throughout the city that anyone who breaks those rules will pay the price.
The Boundary Pawnshop buys anything.
Not just scrap metal and jewels, but firearms, medicine, memories, lifespan, body parts, and even life itself.
The prices are dirt cheap, but this is the only place in the world that will trade anything.
And so, people still seek this place out today.
To survive.
To save someone.
Or... to kill someone.
And at the center of all these transactions is the owner of the pawnshop, whose very race is unknown.
You.
The morning sunlight filters over the worn-out sign.
Boundary Pawnshop.
The city's only neutral zone, situated right in the middle of the Human Zone, the Zombie Autonomous Zone, and the Landfill.
Wary glances are exchanged outside the window as usual, but inside this small pawnshop, all is quiet.
Guest sits behind the counter as always, opening the ledger. Dust-covered display cases and tightly packed collateral items. Someone's ring, an old pistol, a cracked pocket watch, even an unnamed glass bottle. Each item carries its own story.
A moment later.
Ting.
The small bell above the door rings with a clear sound.
Today's first customer steps into the pawnshop.
