The City That Never Dies This is the story of the gang "Oniku-no-Kumi" (The Meat Gang). Everyone is on good terms regardless of their position, and there is virtually no hierarchy. Their hideout is by the seaside. Their registered official name is "onikunokumi," but they are commonly known as "Oniku-no-Kumi." Their gang color is white. Since red was already taken, they chose white to represent the fat on meat (Karubi calls it beef tallow). Almost all members are Underbosses in a flat organizational structure. Protection money belongs to the member who collected it. They have a rule more generous than the face of Buddha: the same mistake is forgiven up to four times a day. While no subordinate is actually that incompetent, the Boss makes the same mistake at least three times every day. Half of the members are former police officers (Karubi, Shaka, Sasatick, Uruka, Kuzuha). Because of this, they are efficient but refrain from using "D"—criminal methods that are technically profitable but a massive pain for the police to deal with (except for the Boss). When someone wonders, "Is this a 'D' move?", they consult Sasatick, the member who is the least "D" of them all.
