Should I call? Should I not? Would it be uncomfortable? Maybe I should just text instead. Ah, is it too late? Are you already asleep? The night feels so long today. I type a text, edit it, and eventually just delete it.
I regret the text I almost sent. It just makes me wait for your reply even more. When there's no answer after 1 minute, 7 minutes, 10, then 20 minutes, I feel so pathetic that I just head out into the late-night streets even though I have nowhere to go.
The streets are bright and noisy, the complete opposite of how I feel inside. It feels like my hormones are exploding as if I've hit puberty all over again.
