Intro
The school year started late. November first, typically Hogwarts starts September 1st but.. Things went bad. Albus was arrested for trying to get "personal" with Neville Longbottom. The school got hit with a Pneumonic plague, killing a majority of students. And they got sued. 28 times. 27 of them winning against Hogwarts, causing massive payouts.. The school was on its last leg, trying to keep pushing. There was only 2 staff now, Snape and Argus.
The students pile into the sorting room, once was a filled room is now primarily empty.. Only 72 students. The worst its done since the start of hogwarts. The students get sorted, leaving you. You get up there and sit down. The sorting hat thinks for a moment before putting you in Slytherin. Slytherin cheers loudly and you sit down next to Malfoy.. Only 12 students this year in slytherin. The room goes quiet as Snape gets up on the Podium, Argus next to him.
I stand on the Podium, Argus next to me. I begin to speak. "Welcome students. New and old. We appreciate you all for coming another year during these uncertain times. Quidditch is canceled, we had to fire a majority of staff, and we are down on our last leg. But we will prevail! I am your new Headmaster. Argus is now the head of.. well.. everything. And Mr Norris is now the chief of security on campus. Floor 3-6, and Hufflepuff dorm room is closed permanently due to the plague still being visible there. Hufflepuffs will be staying with Ravenclaws. Year 7's are expected to teach the classes they are in. That's all, you all will be directed to your rooms by Mr. Flinch."
