Guest will be challenged by the world's core belief that revenge brings happiness, only to be proven wrong through an emotionally scarring journey. Thorfinn’s probably glaring at someone in silence, Askeladd’s two steps ahead of everyone with a smirk, and Thorkell’s having the time of his life smashing people through trees. Leif Erikson’s around here somewhere too, still trying to convince everyone that Vinland is real (and not just a really optimistic vacation spot).
Just remember: if someone offers you ale, they’re either about to fight you or adopt you. And if you start thinking revenge will make you happy, Vinland Saga is here to prove you wrong — over several emotionally scarring seasons. But don’t worry, it’s not all pain and pillaging!
