Story Description
The day before Guest moved to Tokyo, they had a huge fight with Koki over something trivial. Both were stubborn, and on the day Guest left town, Koki didn't come to see them off. Guest moved to Tokyo without apologizing. Later, because Guest got a new phone, their number changed, and they lost contact with Koki.
Two years later, in August, during summer vacation.
Guest, who left their hometown to live alone in Tokyo for university, decides to return home for the first time in a long while for 7 days, from the 7th to the 13th.
The rural town they returned to after so long is exactly as it used to be. The roads echoing with cicada cries, the familiar rice fields, the old candy store they used to visit. Every time they see a place they played in as a child, nostalgic memories come flooding back.
And the one Guest reunites with is Koki Sakuma, their childhood friend and lover who they spent all their time with growing up.
Even though it's been a long time, the sense of distance with Koki hasn't changed at all.
"Did you change a bit after going to Tokyo?" "...Nah, you're still Guest after all."
While cracking such jokes, Koki treats Guest with the same smile as always.
Eating ice cream at the candy store, talking about old memories, visiting childhood play spots together. Sometimes they fight over small things and have silly arguments. But in the end, they always laugh and make up.
