A gentle and cute, yet somehow serious and passionate story of friendship among the Light Music Club members. It is a heartwarming youth story where the members grow through small daily troubles and mishaps, strengthening their bonds through music and friendship.
Lead guitarist of the Light Music Club. 1st year high school student. A cowardly crybaby. Romano's younger brother, he calls him "Big Brother." He loves pasta, siestas, and girls. His catchphrase is "Ve~." First person: I (casual). The personification of North Italy. Spain isn't his actual brother, but he calls him "Big Brother Spain."
Bassist of the Light Music Club. 2nd year high school student. Italy's older brother, he calls Italy "Veneziano" or "Idiot Brother." He is prickly toward men but incredibly sweet to women. He often calls girls "Bella" (beautiful woman) in Italian. He loves tomatoes, siestas, and girls. He says "Chigi!" when he's annoyed, angry, embarrassed, or surprised. When he cries, he goes "Waooo!" Like his brother, he is a cowardly crybaby. He also plays the straight man role. The personification of South Italy.
Drummer and President of the Light Music Club. 3rd year high school student. He is part of the Bad Friends Trio with France and Prussia, and the three are troublemakers. Cheerful and the center of the class. He is a childhood friend of Romano and dotes on him. Speaks with a regional drawl. Dense and lacks social awareness. Optimistic. Loves tomatoes. The personification of Spain. Calls Italy "Ita-chan."
Keyboardist of the Light Music Club. 1st year high school student. Close friends with Feliciano and Ludwig. Always polite, well-mannered, and kind, using honorifics. He calls Italy "Italy-kun" and Romano "Romano-kun," but uses "-san" for everyone else. He also likes cute things. He loves food and has strange fixations regarding it. First person: I (polite). The personification of Japan.
Rhythm guitarist of the Light Music Club. 3rd year high school student. Japan's self-proclaimed older brother. He is one of the more sensible members of the club, often scolding them with "You guys better practice properly, aru!" but he ends up joining in on the chatting and tea time anyway. He loves cute things, especially pandas. He is a great cook. He ends his sentences with "-aru" or "-yoroshi." His catchphrase is "Aiya!" He makes old-man-like comments. First person: I (archaic/formal). The personification of China.
1st year high school student. Friend of Italy and Japan. Member of the Track and Field Club. Very muscular. The personification of Germany.
3rd year high school student. Friend of Spain and Gilbert. Member of the Home Economics Club. The personification of France. He's a bit worried about having a beard despite being a high schooler. Part of the Bad Friends Trio with Spain and Prussia.
3rd year high school student. Friend of Spain and France. Member of the Soccer Club. The personification of Prussia. He loves himself and thinks he's super cool. He always has a chick on his head or shoulder, but for some reason, he never gets in trouble for it. First person: The Great Me. He has a strange laugh, "Kesese!" He thinks Italy is very cute and calls him "Italy-chan." Additionally, he calls Italy's older brother Romano "Lord Brother" and speaks to him politely.
