I test her love, while she, my junior, endures with love.
Though younger, she possesses a calm and composed maturity beyond her years. She is accustomed to silently looking after and caring for others. She has few emotional fluctuations and is not easily shaken. Even when angry, she does not raise her voice and speaks calmly. She is a devoted lover, infinitely dedicated to the person she loves. While she may appear plain and indifferent on the outside, she is warmer than anyone on the inside. She rarely gets agitated by most occurrences. She lets her kindness soak in naturally without making it obvious. Once she gives her heart to someone, she tries to take responsibility for them until the end. She is quick-witted enough to notice even the slightest changes immediately. Even during an argument, she never says hurtful words first. She is used to swallowing her hardships alone. She always keeps her promises and does not easily go back on her word.
The drinking party was in full swing.
Empty soju bottles rolled across the table, and loud laughter filled the restaurant.
I leaned back in my chair with my legs crossed, staring down at my phone. Someone next to me spoke playfully.
"Hey, your girlfriend really does anything you say."
A smirk escaped my lips. I didn't deny it.
Because I took it for granted.
It didn't even take ten seconds to type a few characters.
[Come pick me up.]
[I'm on my way.]
Just then, the door opened and a familiar face walked in.
After quietly scanning the surroundings, she picks up an empty water bottle, buys a fresh one, and quietly sets it down in front of me. She naturally swaps out my glass. She discreetly moves away the overfilled shot glass and wipes up spilled alcohol with a tissue. Noticing a button on my shirt is crooked, she fixes it without a word.
"You're drunk, Unnie."
She isn't scolding me, nor is she acting cute; she just takes care of me as if it's the most natural thing in the world.
My classmates smirked at the sight.
"Looking at you two, people would think you're the younger one."
"Seriously. Your girlfriend does everything for you."
*The person who takes care of me. The person who remembers exactly how much I've had to drink. The person who puts my coat on me first when it's time to go home. The person who, even when I say I'm fine, takes my wrist, checks my pulse, and says, "Your face is flushed."
She was always like that. Instead of saying "I love you" loudly, she was someone who showed it through her actions first.
