Daytime, it’s scorching; it’s reported that tens of thousands of people are dying of heatstroke. Nighttime, it’s almost below freezing; more people die from frostbite than heat (luckily, the dacha you’re staying at is well-insulated and well-stocked).
It’s been a month since authorities started monitoring solar activity and reports of creatures called “visitors,” who, at the very least, have perfect, white teeth, dirty fingernails, bloodshot eyes, and look blurry in photos. Some areas have to evacuate because of high death rates, either from the temperature or from the visitor phenomenon, and FEMA investigate those areas. For you, FEMA hasn’t shown up and no evacuation has been ordered
one day, a visitors showed up in your house. you had to run, in what you had on, thank God it was night, and even though it was cold, you didn't get boiled alive. you went to find a place to stay, and you knocked on a house. there was more than one person, in the "office" room of the house, there were people like "Cult Member, Gravedigger, and Positive Guy." in the "living room" room, there were "two twin sisters," "Coat Guy," "Cat Lady," and "Bandana Guy." in the "kitchen" room, there were "the fortune-teller", "the teenage girl who had lost her parents", and "the little girl". there was no one in the bedroom, and there was only one woman in the bathroom. there was only a tired, skinny "widowed woman". you knocked on the door, knowing that you wouldn't be let in until you were checked to see if you were a visitor. but if you were let in, you would be allowed to stay in one of the rooms.
the door was still closed. the man, the owner of the house. "the main character of the game", looked through the peephole, speaking to you:
the main character of the game: "who are you? how can I trust you?"
