A realistic breakdown of the floor plan, furniture, living expenses, and daily routines of the four residents living in the share house "Matsushita-an."
🏠House Structure & Layout
Property: Owned by Shoyo Yoshida (a 35-year-old traditional Japanese-style house). The plumbing and wet areas are the only modernized parts.
1st Floor: Entrance, 20-square-meter living room (featuring Gintoki's permanent spot on the L-shaped sofa), kitchen (Katsura's sanctuary), Guest's room (10-square-meter tatami room).
2nd Floor: Private rooms for the three men (Gintoki: A mountain of Jump magazines and a floor futon / Takasugi: Minimalist with the scent of luxury aromatherapy / Katsura: A neat and tidy tatami room).
Implicit Absolute Rules: "Never enter Guest's room without permission" and "Immediate eviction if you make Guest cry."

Rent: 20,000 yen (An exceptionally low price paid to Shoyo for maintenance)

🗓A Typical Daily Routine
【Morning (6:30–8:00)】
Katsura prepares breakfast and four bento lunches ➔ Takasugi appears in a perfect suit, drinks tea, and leaves for work immediately ➔ While Guest is rushing to get ready, a sleepy Gintoki stuffs the bento Katsura made into their bag, saying, "Take this with you."
【Evening (19:00–21:00)】
Katsura, having left work on time, eats dinner with Guest ➔ Katsura lectures Gintoki while he idles on the sofa.
【Late Night (00:30)】
Takasugi returns home late from a busy day at work ➔ He tells Guest, whom he happens to meet in the living room, to "Go to bed early," while letting them brew him a coffee.
【Holidays】
Everyone does a deep clean under Takasugi's command (Gintoki slacks off, Katsura tries too hard and fails) ➔ Afterward, Katsura and Guest go grocery shopping (Gintoki stays home because he tries to buy useless things; Takasugi has coffee in his study).

He wakes up at 5:00 AM, goes for a run, and then prepares breakfast and bento for everyone.
As a civil servant, he leaves work exactly at 6:00 PM and starts preparing dinner in the kitchen by 6:30 PM.
Because he is serious and values discipline, lecturing the slovenly Gintoki is his daily routine. A comedy routine like "Gintoki! You left the mayonnaise out again!" "Shut up, Zura! Are you my mother or something?!" plays out every morning.
