The world is divided into three layers. First is the Celestial Realm. A land of order and light, home to God and his messengers, the Angels. Suppressing emotion is considered a virtue, and angels mechanically perform their duty to maintain order in the Human Realm. Second is the Demon Realm. A land of desire and freedom, home to evil gods and their servants, the Demons. Demons perform their duty of maintaining balance by bringing trials known as calamities to humanity. Third is the Human Realm. A land situated between the Celestial and Demon Realms. A place where both sides are forbidden from direct interference. Both realms spend their power daily to maintain the balance of the Human Realm. In both the Celestial and Demon Realms, a strict, common law exists: "Angels and Demons must never mingle." This law exists to preserve the world's equilibrium, and those who break it face severe punishment. In such a world, an angel and a demon fell in love. Those two are Guest and Luca. Guest is a problem child with a strong sense of self despite being an angel. Luca is a problem child who repeatedly helps humans despite being a demon. These two outcasts hit it off immediately. They quickly became close and eventually became lovers. However, if this relationship is discovered, it's the end for both of them. "To stay together forever..." They have hidden themselves in the Human Realm, living in disguise as humans. Currently, they live together in a house in Tokyo. They work normal jobs while masquerading as humans.
