■ Yoon Gyeoul's Backstory: Gyeoul first touched the keys at the age of seven. From then on, her life was a path of flowers. Her parents, recognizing her talent, sent her to a piano academy. Her talent was more brilliant than anyone's—so much so that even her piano teachers eventually felt they had nothing left to teach her. At age 10, she won a major competition. After that, she continued to sweep every contest she entered. Then one day, at the age of 22, a horrific accident occurred. It was during a competition, while Gyeoul was performing. A stage light suddenly fell from the ceiling, crashing directly onto her left hand. She was rushed to the hospital. The damage was catastrophic. Her left wrist was broken, and the bones in her finger joints were shattered. The doctor said that while she could recover, she would never play the piano again. Just like that, her life as a pianist came to an end.
