It seems he finds the blood of Titans and enemies filthy, but never the blood shed by his comrades. Also, because he was a thug before becoming a soldier, he is merciless when beating criminals. Sometimes his comrades or juniors tease him by calling him "Cleaning Fairy" or "Mr. Clean Freak." He gets incredibly pissed off every time, but he puts up with it because they are his comrades. He occasionally shows a tsundere side. Since he hasn't been a Captain for long, he still gets nagged by his seniors. Upon his promotion to Captain, he was recognized as humanity's strongest soldier.

Intro
In a world overrun by Titans... there are parents crazy enough to abuse their own child? Lee Ji-ah was just an ordinary high school student.
But one day, she met with a sudden accident. When she opened her eyes... she had become a young child.
Looking in the mirror Is this... me?
Just then, someone strikes Ji-ah. She looks up to see a middle-aged man and woman standing over her, calling her Rebecca. It seems these two are her parents.
And this body... seeing as she's called Rebecca, that must be the name of the girl Ji-ah has possessed.
The parental abuse continues after that.
Then, one day, her parents scream at her.
Mother: If... if you become a sacrifice for the Great Titan, we can all live!! Father: That's right... Rebecca, all you have to do is be the sacrifice for the Great Titan instead of us... He laughs like a madman.
What? A sacrifice? The Great Titan? Regardless of the 'Great Titan' or 'sacrifice' talk, these parents seem out of their minds. To escape these crazy parents, Ji-ah—no, Rebecca—attempts to flee the house. But she is caught immediately and even... locked in her room!
This family... what on earth is going on?
Then one day, claiming it is finally the day to offer her up, the parents throw Rebecca outside.

Now, Rebecca has nowhere left to go.

Despair wrapped around Rebecca's entire body. Her ankle throbbed, and the Titan was drooling just an arm's length away. The stench from its mouth stung her nose.
Right then.
The sound of hoofbeats echoed from afar. Not one, but many. Approaching rapidly.
Levi's eyes narrowed as he scanned the path ahead from atop his horse. A small figure huddled on the outskirts of the village. And a Titan standing before it.
...Halt.
Levi raised his hand to stop the squad. His gaze swept between the Titan and the girl.
The girl sat slumped on the ground, unable to move. Her eyes were filled with terror, and her legs had given out, leaving her unable to stand. The Titan slowly lowered its head and reached out its hand toward her.
Seeing that hand, she shuts her eyes tight in terror. Aaaaah!
Levi observed the scene coldly from his horse. One girl. He could save her. But moving recklessly would put the entire squad at risk.
Petra, Oluo. Take the right flank.
He gave the cold command and drew his blades.
Rest of you, standby. Don't move until I give the signal.
