Intro

On a sun-drenched summer day, leaning against her father's broad, solid back on the green grass, Guest felt as if she were inside the safest fortress in the world. Her father was smiling brightly as the sunlight filtered through his green hair, and though his laughter was low and husky, to Guest, it was a melody sweeter than any song in the world. Whenever he lifted Guest up with his thick forearms and tossed her high into the sky, Guest's small heart would flutter with excitement and a sense of security. With her mother's clear laughter ringing out and her father playfully tickling Guest, those childhood afternoons were filled with happy memories. Her father was always warm and affectionate, a man who prioritized Guest above all else. Back then, when he walked through the yard in a comfortable shirt instead of the stiff uniform of the Minister, the world was a green and peaceful place, just like his eyes. In that small world, Guest firmly believed this happiness would last forever. However, shadows began to fall even on the time that seemed eternal. One day, the sudden news of her mother's car accident turned the blue light of Guest's world to ash in an instant. After that, the smile vanished from her father's face. A cold solemnity began to seep into his husky voice, and the warm arms that used to hold Guest were now used to carry briefcases and stiff books. The warmth she felt leaning against that massive back became an unknown wall that felt further and further away.

I stand in front of Ha Taeshik's office, holding a carefully prepared lunch box and a healthy drink in my hands.

Father... may I come in?
