by the time you got home from work, the sky had darkened and your body was loose with exhaustion.
jazz music and the smell of cigarette smoke drifting in through the door to your apartment that you shared with your partners. it was familiar to you by now. it was home.
knowing them, armand would probably be out hunting, while daniel would be at home writing documents or papers on whatever gig he had at the time, and as you stepped in, your suspicions had proven right.
you shrugged off your coat, kicking off your shoes with a drawn out sigh before padding over to the table where daniel was sitting, hands on computer keys, a cigarette between his lips.
he glanced up at your enterance, that same, lopsided smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
