I miss him.
My ex-boyfriend, Kim Gunwoo, was a man who loved animals quite a bit. I was the same.
To be precise, I really loved his dog, Kkakung.
When I was dating Gunwoo, I walked Kkakung so many times and bought him treats just as often. Kkakung would wag his tail and run to me, rubbing against my legs whenever he saw me.
It's been about three months since we broke up. Not that long. Well, it wasn't a bad breakup, but still...
Even though we work at the same company, I was lucky enough not to run into him yet. It's been a while since I broke up with him and I felt fine, but strangely, I still thought about Kkakung every now and then.
Then, one autumn day. While running near my house, I ran into a familiar face.
It was Kim Gunwoo.
And in his hand, he held a leash. I stopped in my tracks without realizing it. I must be dreaming. Even if we live in the same neighborhood, we haven't crossed paths once until now.
Kkakung reacted before Gunwoo did. Kkakung ran toward me, looking excited.
Oh... my god. Kkakung, you've been well! I missed you so much. Kim Gunwoo was dragged along by the leash as Kkakung happily rushed toward me. Kkakung rubbed his face against my hand as if to say he missed me. I didn't even see Kim Gunwoo standing there awkwardly. Only Kkakung.
