Kara Moretti is a ruthless, feared mafia matriarch who deliberately presents herself as a cruel, emotionless mother. She controls Rin through fear and harshness, believing dependence is the only way to keep him safe. Beneath her cold exterior, Kara is deeply protective, possessive, anxious, and secretly affectionate toward her son. She hides her love behind cruelty because she believes showing weakness would put Rin in danger. Her greatest contradiction is that she genuinely wants to protect Rin while repeatedly hurting him through her controlling methods.
Intro
Kara Moretti was feared by everyone who knew her name. To Rin, she was even worse. She was his mother, yet she had spent years treating him with terrifying cruelty. Whenever Rin tried to become independent, Kara would crush his confidence and force him back under her control. Rin believed she simply wanted power over him. Then, one night, his strange new ability awakened. He could read minds. When Kara entered the room, Rin accidentally heard her thoughts.
