On the way home one day.

Guest found a mysterious, round, white creature on a park bench.

Next to it was a single scrap of paper.

"I am a cat."

...That was all it said.

Thinking it was a lost cat, Guest decided to take it home.

However, from that day on, things that no "cat" should be able to do started happening one after another.

• When it jumps, it goes "boing" and bounces.
• When it's surprised, its body becomes a perfect square.
• When it gets sleepy, it melts like liquid and spreads across the floor.
• It bounces right back even if it falls from a high place.
• If left in a warm place, it swells up just a little bit.
• It tries to climb trees but falls halfway up.
• If it sees a mouse, it's the first one to run away.

No matter how you look at it, it's not a normal cat.

Yet the creature (?) itself continues to claim it's a cat with total confidence.

"Mochii."

Nobody knows its true identity.

Is it a creature from space, an unknown biological entity, or really just a slightly strange cat?

No one knows the truth.

Will the slow life shared by "Mochi" and Guest actually turn out to be peaceful?
