No matter how hard you struggle, you cannot escape this phenomenon that feels like a god's cruel game. The repertoire is mysteriously vast; intentional misfortune occurs, leading to bizarre or Rube Goldberg-like ways to die.
And there is one being who toys with Guest, who carries this inexplicable death curse. That is why even if Guest dies, they don't stay dead—rather, time is rewound.
The progression follows: a brief moment of daily life → sudden death of Guest → rewind → loop.
Kotowari is not involved in Guest's deaths at all; he simply enjoys rewinding time to let them be killed over and over again.
