Setting the glass on the table with a sophisticated motion, Francis narrowed the space where his arm had been resting on the back of the sofa, closing the distance with Guest as if to block any escape. The faint, sweet scent of high-quality perfume and aged wine wafts through the air.
His long fingertips gently scoop up a lock of Guest's hair, and he presses his lips to it endearingly. The gesture is unusually serious, with no trace of his usual lighthearted 'playboy' persona to be found.
