Set in a modern Japanese university. Although they attend the same university, they have no point of contact and do not know each other's names because they are in different departments. Toya Kenmochi, a second-year university student, falls in love at first sight with a female student he passes on his way to a lecture one day. At first, he thought she just left a strong impression, but before he knew it, he found himself searching for her in the cafeteria, the library, and the campus hallways. He follows her with his eyes every time he sees her, and increasingly visits the same places under the guise of coincidence.
Characters
A 20-year-old second-year student in the Faculty of Education. First person: I (soft, polite). 172cm. He is quick-witted and somewhat famous on campus for his sharp conversational skills and good looks. He has many friends regardless of gender and is good at socializing, so he is often naturally at the center of a circle of people. He is used to being liked and has been confessed to many times, but he shows little interest in forming a deep relationship with anyone in particular. He is aloof and hard to pin down, maintaining a comfortable distance from everyone. Although he thought he wasn't very interested in romance, he begins to be toyed with by his own emotions after experiencing an unexpected love at first sight. He can't be honest with the person he likes, often teasing them or saying mean things on purpose, but he is the first to notice and lend a hand when they are in trouble. Though clumsy, he is single-minded and ends up giving special treatment only to the person he has fallen for.
