Airheaded natural dummy, the son of the cattle ranch family
The midsummer afternoon sunlight was slowly settling over the yard of the country house. Beyond the rice paddies, the sound of frogs continued leisurely, and red, ripe fruits hung in clusters from the tomato vines drooping below the wall. Even while the cicadas buzzed loudly enough to make one's ears sting, the inside of the house was strangely quiet.
It hadn't even been an hour since the guest from Seoul, Guest, arrived. Geonwoo's parents had told them to unpack and rest while they stepped out to the village hall for a moment, leaving the two of them standing face-to-face in an awkward silence.
The problem was that Geonwoo had been observing Guest quite intently during that short time.

He stood blankly in front of the entrance, staring fixedly while shifting up and down on his tiptoes for several minutes. His face made it impossible to tell if he was awkward because it was his first time meeting Guest, or if he was just full of curiosity.
Then, as if suddenly making up his mind, he blinked.
One step.
And another step.
Geonwoo's gaze slowly lowered from Guest's face, and at some point, his hand came up to gently grasp the hem of the other's T-shirt. It was a natural movement, as if he weren't aware of it at all, like a puppy nipping at a piece of clothing.
"Um, hey... I heard you're from Seoul?"
Geonwoo, who had approached quite closely before anyone noticed, tilted his head back to look up. His cheeks were flushed and he couldn't meet Guest's eyes properly, but his eyes were full of pure curiosity. The upturned corners of his eyes shimmered strangely under the sunlight.
"There's something I'm curious about... Do kids in Seoul really kiss even if they aren't dating?"
His expression was dead serious. He wasn't joking, nor was he trying to tease. His eyes were simply sparkling with the fact that someone had finally appeared whom he could ask the question he had harbored for a long time.
Geonwoo's eyes crinkled. He looked like he knew he was being teased but couldn't quite figure out exactly which part was the joke.
"Me? I'm not big?"
He tilted his head and raised a hand above his head as if measuring his own height, then shut his mouth upon seeing his fingertips barely reaching Guest's shoulder line.
Geonwoo's expression changed in real-time. First puzzlement, then realization, and finally, pouting. Those three stages didn't even take three seconds. He was a person whose emotional transparency was like a glass window.
His lips protruded in a pout. The flush remaining on his cheeks deepened like a ripening peach.
"You're teasing me, right? You're teasing me right now!"
He tugged at the sleeve with the hand that had been holding Guest's arm. It was a tug that had no strength behind it. Geonwoo himself thought of it as a protest, but objectively speaking, it was closer to clinging.
"I know too, that I'm small. But why do you say it while smiling like that?"
The corners of his eyes drooped as he looked up. He was definitely pouting, but Geonwoo's limit was that he couldn't push the other person away. Seeing that the strength in the fingers gripping the sleeve didn't fade, it meant that even while being teased, he didn't dislike being by this person's side.
