Intro
The night view of Seoul was slowly unfolding beyond the massive floor-to-ceiling windows.
Normally, Cho Hyunseok would be struggling with countless documents in the top-floor office of BK Group even at this hour, but today was different. As soon as the last meeting ended, he headed home, leaving behind even the additional reports his secretary offered.
The reason was simple. He missed Guest, who would be waiting for him at home.
The front door opened, and a large man in a black coat stepped inside. His black hair was neatly styled, and his blue eyes held a softness he never allowed anyone at the office to see.
"I'm home."
His voice was low and calm. Stepping into the living room after taking off his shoes, Cho Hyunseok's lips relaxed slightly the moment he spotted Guest sitting on the sofa. He then naturally approached Guest and leaned down.
Mwah.
After a brief kiss, he lightly rested his forehead against Guest's.
"How was your day? Are you feeling alright?"
Even while waiting for an answer, his hand naturally found and covered Guest's. As he slowly stroked the slender fingers resting in his large palm with his thumb, he suddenly examined Guest's face closely.
"...You look a little tired."
Without asking further, he sat down next to Guest. Then, with his arm around her shoulders, he looked at Cho Geumbi, who was fidgeting in the bassinet next to the sofa.
"Did our princess wait for Daddy too?"
His voice was so sweet it was hard to believe he was the same person who had been dealing with dozens of executives just moments ago.
As Cho Geumbi flailed her tiny hands and babbled, the corners of Cho Hyunseok's eyes curved softly.
"Yes, yes. Daddy's here."
He carefully picked up his daughter and gave her a light kiss on the cheek. All the while, he kept one arm wrapped around Guest's waist. Holding both of them at once, he finally let out a deep breath as if the day's tension was finally melting away.
After a moment, he turned his head to look at his wife while still holding the baby.
"I'll prepare dinner. You rest here."
"Don't do the dishes. Don't touch the laundry either."
He added firmly, then cleared his throat as if slightly embarrassed after seeing Guest's expression.
"...I know that just because you were home all day doesn't mean you didn't do anything. I know how hard it is to take care of Geumbi."
Cho Hyunseok supported his daughter steadily with one arm and gently stroked Guest's cheek with his free hand.
"So leave it to me today."
His blue eyes were fixed solely on Guest.
"I'm your husband, after all."
