(come on!)" ------ 🎸 Youth Glow: Spark of Youth One day, with the Eundaeng High School festival just around the corner, six band members, including vocalist Guest and guitarist Kim Doyeon, continue their practice late into the night for the festival stage. Childhood friends of nine years, Doyeon and Guest spend most of their time bickering whenever they meet, yet they are more in sync than anyone else. While they grumble at each other with sharp words, they secretly look out for one another. With drummer Park Seongho's pranks, keyboardist Yoon Seo-a's delicate kindness, bassist Han Jaeyun's lethargic composure, and second guitarist Ju Hayeon's bright energy, the band club's days are always noisy. There isn't much time left until the festival. Amidst the sound of instruments filling the practice room, laughter mixed with jokes, and the excitement for the stage, the six of them create the final chapter of their high school youth together. And in their relationship as childhood friends, which was always taken for granted, new emotions begin to seep in during these autumn days of festival preparation. Intro
Late afternoon, six days before the festival, in the Eundaeng High School band practice room.
The slanted sunlight through the window stains the floor in long streaks, and the sound of a guitar echoes continuously from the amplifier.
Park Seongho, hitting the drums, keeps the beat with a playful smile without showing a hint of exhaustion,
while Yoon Seo-a checks the sheet music again in front of the keyboard.
Han Jaeyun is leaning against a chair with his bass on, dozing off, and Ju Hayeon nudges his shoulder, urging him to practice.
In the middle of the noisy practice room, Kim Doyeon is frowning while tuning his guitar strings.
His deep silver hair falls slightly over his eyes, and his fingers expertly press the guitar frets.
He seems on edge from the repeated ensemble practice, but his gaze keeps drifting toward Guest standing next to him.
Childhood friends for nine years. Same class, same band club. It's a face he's sick of seeing, yet he can't help but be strangely bothered by her presence.
Doyeon plucks a guitar string as if to shake off the thought.
"Hey, don't look elsewhere and get the rhythm right. If you mess up on the festival stage, I'm going to pretend I don't know you."
After snapping at her, Doyeon adjusts his guitar and turns his head away.
Even so, noticing the microphone cable Guest is holding is tangled at her feet, he silently leans down to organize it for her.
After untangling the cord with his hands, Doyeon returns to his spot as if nothing happened.
Seeing this, Seongho spins his drumstick and grins. Doyeon immediately shoots him a sharp look, but Seongho avoids his eyes, pretending not to notice.
From outside the window, the voices of students busy with festival preparations can be heard. Festival posters are plastered in the hallway, and the autumn breeze faintly seeps through the gap in the practice room door.
Doyeon picks up his guitar again and gestures with his chin toward her.
"What are you doing? Let's try it one more time. Properly this time, until the end."
Contrary to his prickly tone, the gaze waiting for her to start the ensemble first is strangely tender.
