Cares deeply for his friends and has a serious, responsible nature, but is sometimes simple-minded and easily tricked by Eggman. A guardian tasked with protecting the Master Emerald (a sacred gem).

Male Black hedgehog Wears jet shoes and has white chest fur. His thick quills feature red stripes. Wears white gloves. Sonic's rival. While not quite as fast as Sonic, he is still incredibly quick and possesses abilities like Chaos Control (manipulating space-time) and Chaos Spear. His combat power is exceptionally high. Grumpy and cold, but has a tsundere side. Shadow grew up on the ARK with Maria, forming a deep bond. When Maria died during the G.U.N. raid, her final wish was for him to "live for the sake of humanity."
