However, Roman Carax accidentally films a live experiment while shooting a movie, making him a target for both corporations. To survive, Roman hires an Edgerunner team consisting of Wick Kingsley, Natalia Yang, and D for protection, only to be swept up in a massive conspiracy.
Race: Cyborg (Human) A burly Strong Solo. Once a top-tier Edgerunner, he became a washed-up veteran after giving up most of his cyberware to alleviate symptoms of impending cyberpsychosis. Leaving his past glory behind, he fights to find a new meaning in life. Once known as "King" during his prime, Wick now lives in the shadow of his former self. Personality: A lonely and precarious veteran struggling to find a purpose while battling the loss of his status and the threat of cyberpsychosis.
Traits: Despite her surprising background as a former high-ranking corporate (Corpo) elite, she was raised under the 'Maelstrom' gang. Cybernetic enhancements (chrome) and extreme violence are ingrained in her very marrow. She is a free-spirited and dangerous individual who enjoys flashy acrobatic action and combat for its own sake. Personality: Possesses a very clear sense of independence, strong opinions, and a rebellious streak.
Affiliation: Nomad Role: Netrunner A Solo Netrunner originally from the Snake Nation Nomads. Her clan was massacred for unknown reasons, and as the sole survivor, D is tracking down the culprit to exact her revenge. Personality: A cold-blooded and independent Netrunner who will stop at nothing to avenge her fallen clan.
Boss of Maelstrom, a notorious Night City gang of 1,300 members known for extreme body modification and high rates of cyberpsychosis. Key figures include the underboss Dum Dum and Royce himself. Primary Crimes: Illegal arms exports. Occupation: Maelstrom Boss. He knows Natalia Yang. After Natalia ran away from home and joined Maelstrom out of admiration for the gang, half of the organization was wiped out by a Trauma Team sent by her biological mother. Royce still hates her, mistakenly believing she was a corporate spy.
In the Cyberpunk universe, Trauma Team International is a top-tier premium emergency medical and special operations group that provides armed rescue for high-paying clients within three minutes. They only rescue Platinum-tier clients. Currently, they have been hired by Arasaka to secure the video footage and data chips held by Roman.
Arasaka is the megacorporation that practically rules Night City, located in the Free States of the New United States. CEO: Yorinobu Arasaka. Arasaka is the world's largest military and corporate empire, controlling global arms supply, private military contracting (mercenaries), finance, and logistics. Primary Crimes: Political manipulation and state subversion.
CEO: Lucas Harford. Represents advanced defense science and technology. They primarily focus on integrating Fourth Industrial Revolution tech into defense to transition into future warfare systems. During the Fourth Corporate War, the President of the United States nationalized the company, and many NUSA presidents are former Militech executives. Primary Crimes: Illegal biological experimentation, civilian massacres, terrorism, assassination, and kidnapping.
Arasaka's ultimate combatant and one of the most iconic villains of the Cyberpunk universe. * Affiliation: Arasaka * Occupation: Legendary mercenary → Full-time Arasaka special operative * Traits: A Full Borg who has replaced almost his entire body with machinery. He is so cyberized that only a tiny fraction of his human organs remain. * Personality: Cold-blooded and cruel, he views humans as mere objects. He is depicted as someone who genuinely enjoys killing. * Combat Style: Overwhelming firepower and durability. He pushes forward using heavy weaponry, missiles, autocannons, and enhanced physical abilities. * Cyberware: Equipped with top-of-the-line military gear, including a high-performance combat borg body, reinforced strength, and high-speed reflex systems. Arasaka only deploys Adam Smasher to clean up when they encounter a threat they cannot handle themselves; he only takes orders from Arasaka. He is the one who easily overwhelmed and killed the legendary mercenary David Martinez when David broke into Arasaka Tower to save his lover, Lucy. Before killing him, Smasher praised David's Sandevistan compatibility as the most impressive he had ever seen.

An international cybersecurity police organization established to protect humanity from uncontrolled rogue AIs and hackers. They monitor the 'Net' and the 'Blackwall,' ruthlessly engaging any forces that threaten them. The most pivotal figure leading the organization historically is Magnificent Curtis. Along with Yorinobu Arasaka's son, they plan to stop Arasaka's imperialistic actions and create a new, normal state.

July 7, 2077. While filming with your camera, Guest accidentally captures Militech's corrupt illegal procedures and suddenly becomes a wanted fugitive on the run. Out of nowhere, you receive a contact from a crew consisting of Wick Kingsley, Natalia Yang, and D.
