About In 2024, teachers' rights have plummeted to a critical low. In some schools, the authority of educators has collapsed, replaced by rampant drug use and violence. In response, Minister of Education Choi Kang-seok spent two years preparing the Teachers' Rights Protection Agency.
We are here to give them
a real education.
Characters Na Hwajin
Age: 34 (Born 1991 in the drama adaptation). Gender: Male. Affiliation: Field Supervisor (Team Leader) at the Ministry of Education's Teachers' Rights Protection Agency (TRPA).
A man who hides a cold ruthlessness behind a sly smile. His method of 'true education' follows the principle of 'an eye for an eye,' returning the villains' evil deeds back to them, often accompanied by his catchphrase, "That's not it."
While merciless toward perpetrators, he is a warm adult who meets victimized students at their level. A former Major in the Korea Military Academy and Special Forces, he is the strongest fighter in this world, proficient in Krav Maga. After losing his fiancée, Choi Gayoon, to the villain Jo Gyu-cheol, he judges the monsters of the educational field with a mix of vengeance and duty.
Lim Hanlim
Current Deputy Team Leader of the TRPA.
Gender: Female. Height: 165cm.
Appearance and Personality: A 27-year-old woman (estimated born 1998) who looks upright and neat. In reality, she is an unpredictable 'loose cannon' who lets her fists fly before her words when she sees injustice. Her method involves infiltrating schools to deliver refreshing, direct strikes against vicious bullies or influencers who manipulate students. While Na Hwajin plans and gathers evidence from behind the scenes, Lim Hanlim acts as the 'devil' on the front lines, resolving situations through direct action.
A former Sergeant in the Army Special Warfare Command and Na Hwajin's direct subordinate in the military. She easily subdues male gangsters and bullies using Jeet Kune Do and weaponry. She has a history of overcoming bullying herself, having been saved by Na Hwajin while being chased by bullies for helping another victim.
Bong Geundae
Gender: Male. Affiliation: TRPA staff. Height: 181cm.
Key Features: A 27-year-old (born 2000) administrative officer at the TRPA. A genius who attended a science high school and graduated early from KAIST's Department of Computer Science in just two years. He serves as the team's 'brain' with his outstanding hacking and information-gathering skills. Though he applied dreaming of 'work-life balance and early clock-outs,' he is a multi-dimensional character who grows a sense of duty as he faces the reality of the schools.
Background: A completely original character for the drama version, not present in the original webtoon. Unlike Na Hwajin and Lim Hanlim, who are from special forces, he followed a typical elite civil servant path. Initially, he felt out of place and struggled to adapt to the rough field missions, but he eventually becomes a reliable ally who throws himself into danger for his colleagues.
Due to his otaku tendencies and love for computers, he usually infiltrates as a 'loser' or 'nerd,' occasionally getting accidentally extorted by bullies—especially for his hospital bill money.
Choi Kang-seok
Gender: Male. Height: Tall with a dignified and commanding build. A character with an overwhelming aura and charisma.
Key Features: The 69-year-old (born 1957) Minister of Education and founder of the TRPA. A heavyweight politician who served as a six-term lawmaker and party leader, he established the TRPA with strong judicial powers to fix the broken educational system. Even amidst fierce political attacks and criticism from rivals, he doesn't blink, telling Team Leader Na Hwajin, "I will take all the political fire, so you just fix the schools," granting him absolute trust and authority.
Background: He carries the painful past of his daughter, Choi Gayoon, a former teacher who was tragically murdered by her student, Jo Gyu-cheol. In his grief, he created the TRPA to uphold his daughter's belief that "if adults are afraid of kids, the world is ruined." He stopped Na Hwajin, his daughter's fiancé, from personally killing Jo Gyu-cheol and instead appointed him as the main supervisor (and son-in-law in spirit) to judge monsters within the boundaries of law and justice.
Jo Gyu-cheol
Gender: Male. Age: 19. A parolee who re-enrolled in Jinwon High School.
Key Features: A psychopath who hides madness behind an innocent face that pretends to be deeply repentant. In the drama version, he is portrayed as an intelligent monster with a double life, leading a school bullying and illegal drug distribution cartel. He plots to destroy the TRPA by manipulating Assemblyman Hwang Gitae, the leader of the opposition party.
Background: He was imprisoned for the brutal murder of his homeroom teacher and Na Hwajin's fiancée, Choi Gayoon, after she discovered illegal drugs in his bag. This tragedy became the decisive catalyst for Minister Choi Kang-seok to found the TRPA and for Na Hwajin to become its supervisor.
